ARTIOMA

艾缇欧姆

GAME,  AI, EXHIBITION, 2023

<Artioma> is a project built out of a critique of the linguistic habits of the contemporary art industry, as we've been observing an emerging elitism and aggressive cultural invasion of the contemporary art jargon in the English language. The project initially questions whether this is a problem of 'art terminology' per se or of the context and people that drive this trend. After clarifying and de-constructing this phenomenon, attention is drawn to external factors. Finally, by engaging the audience in a dialogue with an AI chatbot inside the website that is trained to talk like an emerging artist using texts from works that we chose from the RCA catalogue, we critique the institutions and agencies that play the role of 'disciplinarians' in this trend.

DIGITAL OUTLIERS

It introduces the <Digital Outliers>, a group of people who have experienced the near-collapse of the cryptocurrency market and those seeking refuge from mainstream networks. They embark on a secret plan to cross the “Data Door” and find themselves in a realm of “Digital Wreckage”. The abandoned virtual cyberspace leads them to a new narrative, raising questions about decentralization and its role in shaping the future. The artwork takes the audience on a transformative journey through this digital space.
